Happy 2015! My first post of the year! I'm super excited for this year and I'm keeping positive thoughts. Now going into this post, I've always been interested in Mod fashion and we all know that it's been popular and coming back with a modern twist, and so here in my attempt at a little bit of a mod look.
The main focus of this outfit is this dress. This simple shift dress gives off sleek lines and a minimal silhouette which is what gives it that mod look! I also love the silver zip pocket detailing. It adds just enough to the dress. What I also found interesting about this dress is that it is bonded fabric, meaning that the fabric is woven together but bonded from long fibers. This is what keeps the dress sleek and holds its shape. It makes it much harder for it to bend or crease/wrinkle.
I wasn't trying to go for an all mod look and so I paired the dress with red platform pumps and instead of a tailored coat, a carmel colored cocoon coat. This coat has been one of my favorites this winter, the neutral color makes it easy to pair with many color palettes and the oversized feel makes the coat comfy and roomy.
I'm excited for the trends coming up in 2015! Leave comments below, what are your expectations for this year?
