Varsity Prep

Processed with VSCOcam

As January is coming to an end, is everyone ready for February?! I can't believe its already been a month into the new year. Time passes so fast! Although spring is approaching, it will remain cold in Japan for a while until at least May! This varsity sweater that I'm wearing is perfect for keeping warm. It's not just a regular sweater, it's a knit sweater that's extremely chunky and thick! It's like three sweaters layered over each other. It basically replaces a coat!

With the navy varsity sweater, I paired it with a collared blouse underneath. The sweater is a bit cropped or on the shorter size for length so pairing it with a longer blouse or top underneath is ideal. Yay for layering! Since I was going for a preppy look up top, I kept it simple with tight jeans for the bottoms and red peep toe heels. This way the heels elongates my legs and the fitting jeans balances in proportion to the chunky, oversized top. But, you could definitely complete the prep look by pairing it with some flat oxfords too.

One last thing, if you've noticed the first picture, I took on a different day and that's why my hair is straight there but wavy in the rest of them. Sorry for the inconsistency in the pictures in this post! It was difficult getting the right lightening, and the same lightning in the pictures.

See you next week!
